Social Media Training

Mastering Social Media

After amassing a huge following on Instagram In 2016 I joined the organisation to provide one on one mentoring for brands and individuals. During which time I represented the business at seminars, television and podcasts.

While no longer "active" on social media on a daily basis, I still keep up to date on whats big in the social media arena and provide training for individuals and community groups.

My Background In Social Media

I was a true late adopter of Social Media, not getting a Facebook account until 2009, a twitter account until 2010 and Instagram in 2014. It was the latter however where I found my stride, after two random posts in a 2014 in 2016 I began posting daily on the platform. Within two weeks of regular posting I was receiving several dozen likes a day and around 100 new followers a week. Two months in from adopting this practice i'd achieved over 40,000 followers and up to 25,000 likes per post. My output was quite basic, focused around my past-times, but then started to include promotional work. Big brands were sending me items to use and talk about.

It was at this point that I was summoned to Instagram Headquarters then located in Seven Dials, London and recruited to build the development of the platform to oder users or those with more disposable income as they had just begun experimenting with adverting on the platform in a very low key way. I was quickly booked to present talks all over the world, gathering audiences of up to several hundred individuals.

By 2018 other projects took the main stage in my career and I began to reduce my social media time, until by 2022 it had become practically non-existent. But then due to other works with different arts organisations, I began to become pulled back into the arena again. Now offering One to One mentoring or group events, during my absence I have continued my knowledge base and stay up to date with all the different platforms and their individual benefits.
